I actually laughed at SNL over the weekend! A ludicrous thought, I thought, I know -- but I actually see Fallon-like potential in newcomer, Andy Samberg. Not to say that Fallon was great (actually I caught him singing on Dr. Phil the other day ... have things gotten that bad Jimmy?), but at least you could laugh at SNL occasionally when he was around. Check out Samberg and Chris Parnell's "Lazy Sunday" rap on YouTube.com (loads faster) or the official SNL site (takes forever to load...I gave up). Also check out the blog post on BoingBoing.net.
I was feeling quite censored today when I found out that my story for our annual spoof newspaper at work would probably be edited down to inoffensive dribble. Since when is a story about public urination and widespread drunkenness offensive? I'm not sure why on earth a spoof newspaper has to be held in such high regard, but I guess it's the nature of the business...
