ringoes robbery update

[from c-n.com] Authorities asked the public early Thursday night to help identify a man police said robbed the Ringoes branch of Yardville National Bank by confronting a teller and claiming to have a handgun.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of money during the 1:52 p.m. robbery, police said the man left the scene by running northbound on Boss Road, the side street next to the branch bank at 1103 Old York Road. Police, some clutching rifles and wearing bulletproof vests, canvassed the area with police dogs while a state police helicopter buzzed overhead.
Authorities investigating Thursday's incident "will compare notes" with the police departments searching for "The Mad Hatter" -- a middle-aged bank robber responsible for a string of holdups during the past eight months -- as well as other early leads, said Detective Dan Hurley, spokesman for the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.
But Hurley said it is too early to tell if the alleged Yardville robber is connected to The Mad Hatter, is a possible copycat or is completely unrelated.
