With the teaser trailer for the sixth Harry Potter movie, The Half Blood Prince, we're offered a glimpse of evil at an early age -- sort of like seeing Darth Vader as a child in the Star Wars prequels without the awful performances.
Just as MTV hooked up with Warner Bros. to offer an early glimpse of The Dark Knight, that partnerships serves up this "leaked" peek at Tom Riddle/Voldemort as a nipper.
And talk about nepotism -- Hero Fiennes-Tiffin (son nephew of Ralph "Lord Voldemort" Fiennes) plays the young Riddle -- sans simulated snake nostrils.

You'll Watch It and You'll Like It!!!
Posted on Wednesday, July 09, 2008 One of the best parts of the Hunterdon County Democrat newspaper is the Public Safety Report. Here's my favorite from this week's issue:
Man Cited In Assault
A 58-year-old township woman told police that when she refused to watch the movie Gladiator, her 58-year-old boyfriend threatened and assaulted her. When the woman tried to leave, police said the man pushed her onto a bed and forced her to watch more of the film. He allegedly stood in the doorway, prevented the woman from leaving, smashed two free weights together in front of her, screamed at the woman, threatened to killer her, called her names and spat in her face. While arresting him, police said they found he was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
He was charged with terroristic threats, criminal restraint, simple assault, harassment and possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Judge Eric Perkins of Clinton Township Municipal Court set bail at $5,000 with the condition that he undergo a psychological evaluation. He was turned over to the custody of Hunterdon Behavioral Health.
How great is that?? And all over Gladiator, which isn't even that great of a movie! Oh no ... I better watch out ... I could be his next victim!

Dopey the hamster tries again and again and again to make it into his little house in the sky, by way of his very own LEGO elevator. Enjoy!
You Vote Every Day
Posted on Sunday, July 06, 2008
I watched The 11th Hour tonight ... it was a startling and informative look at how we've damaged the world, but still have time to fix it. I wrote down this quote, because I really liked the idea:
"You can ... vote. And I don't mean voting at a voting booth. Anybody, of any age can vote. Because you vote every day that you pay for something. Every time you lay money down on a counter to buy something, you are saying that I approve of this object. I approve of how it was made, the materials that are in it, and what's going to happen to it when I no longer need it and thrown it away."
RIP Don Davis, 1942-2008
Posted on Wednesday, July 02, 2008 That Was S...G...1! Accomplished character actor Don Davis died on June 29th of a massive heart attack, he was 65. Davis appeared in over 100 projects, most notably as Major Garland Briggs in Twin Peaks and as General George Hammond in over 160 episodes of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Davis also appeared as Captain William Scully, Dana Scully's father, on The X Files. Davis was a fantastic actor, and I count myself among his many fans. Rest in peace, Don Davis ... you will be greatly missed.
