Proud Killer.

I was awoken at 5:30 this morning to the sounds of happy playing. I assumed that Spring had gotten her paws on an Obama bracelet again ... so I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. But after minutes of bouncing, loud purring, and darting around in the dark, I decided to investigate. Leaning my head over the edge of the bed, I peered into the darkness of my room. On the floor I could make out a small dark mass, which I assumed was one of her many toys that had suddenly became incredibly fun to play with at 5:30 in the morning. As I reached for it, I suddenly had a second thought. I grabbed a flashlight from the side table ... and well, you can see what I found.
A few minutes later (after some petting, a quick photo shoot, some crunchy Friskies treats and a lot of Lysol) this poor creature found its way to an outdoor garbage bag. As I paused on the sidewalk and squinted at the new sun rising over Flemington, I came to the realization that the my darling little girl is actually a cold-hearted murderess. I guess it's a good thing that she's on my side ... at least most of the time.Labels: me, spring

Spring is Insane: Reason #427
Posted on Friday, August 01, 2008
Beginning last night, Spring realized that favorite toy is now my Obama '08 Hope Bracelets (white or black, she doesn't discriminate). The Obama '08 Hope Bracelet is basically a rip-off of Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong Bracelet, and is made out of the same flexible [delicious] material. These bracelets are apparently both fun and delicious.
Yesterday evening, Spring knocked nearly everything off my my messy dresser as she hunted for Obama bracelets. At 3 o'clock AM, she gave up on the bracelets (since I was forced to hide them), and moved on to anything fun and circular (read: my watch). She woke me up at least 4 times last night.
Why Barack Obama, Why? Why must you produce such fun and delicious campaign merchandise, that I am unable to get an uninterrupted night's sleep? Your button is on my bag, your magnet is on my car, and your bracelet is in my cat's mouth. Haven't I done enough?Labels: photography, politics, spring

spring goes green

Even when they're not in use, appliances that are plugged in will drain tiny amounts of electricity. Save the planet, and save money by unplugging your appliances when they're not in use! If Spring can do it ... you can too!
